Acceptable disciplines of study include finance, business administration, journalism, English, computer science, graphic design, press operations, printing technology, bindery and finishing, and digital media. Additional disciplines may be considered if they directly align with and enhance the overall business functions of R.H. Boyd, the multimedia industry, or related fields, as approved by the Endowment Committee.
NEW Trade and Vocational Scholarship
Awarded to members of the African diaspora enrolled in accredited trade or vocational schools and associate degree programs.
The Boyd Undergraduate Scholarship
Awarded to junior and senior members of the African diaspora attending an accredited four-year institution
The Boyd Fellow
Awarded to members of the African diaspora pursuing a master's or doctoral degree
The Boyd Employee Scholarship
Awarded to R.H. Boyd employees pursuing degrees or certifications.
Awarded to churches, organizations, and businesses seeking to improve their communities through projects and programs that have a positive impact on society, faith communities, families, or individuals.
Eligible Programs include Educational Advancement through Literacy, Health and Wellness Awareness, Spiritual Development, Technology Expansion, Creative Arts, or related programs as approved by the Endowment Committee.
The R.H. Boyd Family Endowment Fund Scholarship at Tennessee State University
Three scholarships are awarded yearly to full-time, in-state students at Tennessee State University in pursuit of a four-year degree in business or other field of study, with a GPA greater than 3.2. Students may apply for this scholarship directly through Tennessee State University.
The Dr. LaDonna Y. Boyd Annual Scholarship
Awarded to junior or senior members of the African diaspora attending Spelman College in pursuit of a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics or related fields of study with a 3.25 GPA or higher. Students may apply for this scholarship directly through Spelman College. Grant Program.

Hosted through The R.H. Boyd Company, a 501(c)(3) organization, The Legacy Ball benefits the R.H. Boyd Family Endowment Fund which is dedicated to expanding educational access and strengthening community impact. Proceeds from the event directly fund scholarships for university students and grants for community organizations, ensuring that emerging leaders, cultural programs, and service initiatives receive the support they need to flourish.
The R.H. Boyd Family Endowment Fund reserves the right at any time, with or without notice, to modify, amend, and/or change the policies and rules of the R.H. Boyd Family Endowment Fund.
